4/28 Hill Country Ride for AIDS
Project Transitions’ Hill Country Ride for AIDS bike team (now also open to runners) is back on the road! Last year “Bike Curious” raised over $5,000 for the Ride and this year we hope to double that. We invite you to join us in this truly rewarding and fun experience. The funds raised are distributed among ten different HIV/AIDS related organizations, including Project Transitions, to help provide much needed services to people living with HIV/AIDS.
4/29 “April Showers”
For the 7th year in a row, Rain on 4th will host “April Showers”. Dubbed as one of the best parties of the year at one of the best bars in town, proceeds benefit both Project Transitions and the Wright House. With music, and dancing, and a huge silent auction, this event is not to be missed! The fun starts at 4:00 p.m. and lasts until 10:00 p.m.
6/1 Texas Swing Music Festival and Side Show
Join us for Project Transitions’ largest summer fundraiser! This year local legend Dale Watson will be joining us on the main stage, with Austin favorites the Whiskey Shivers, the Rough Riders, Rooster Jenkins and the Ghosts of Texas heatin’ things up on the outside stage! It’s guaranteed to be a swingin’ good time so don’t miss it!
7/20 Red Hot
Steve Higginbotham, a longtime supporter, created Red Hot for the first time in 1992 with the partnership and generosity of Oilcan Harry’s. For the past 20 years, Red Hot has been an important source of funding, generating more than $220,000 for Project Transitions’ programs and services. This great event is not only a critical element in maintaining our services, it also happens to be “THE summer party” of Austin!
9/9 “Glenn Eaddy Toy Drive”
Glenn hosts this event yearly to make Christmas meaningful for the children of families living with AIDS in the Austin area. Please bring a new toy or a cash donation and join us for this special evening. Last year we were able to provide approximately 200 children with something special for Christmas.
12/1 The 24th annual Holiday Swing
